This renovation updates the kitchen and solarium of a historic mid-century modern home in Ann Arbor Hills, originally designed by George Brigham at the height of his career and later recognized with the 2024 Preservation Award.

Taking cues from the home’s original detailing and material palette, the design introduces clean, modern cabinets, appliances and amenities as insertions into the existing architecture. The kitchen balances clean, minimal lines with a playful color palette while honoring the home’s architectural legacy.
