The design for Sepia Coffee Project’s shop and roasting facility centers on a multifunctional counter that acts as the heart of the space. It serves as service bar, tasting counter, merchandise display, and additional workspace for roasting - creating a lively point of connection between guests and staff. By blurring the line between front and back of house while keeping certain zones discreet, the design balances openness with functionality.

The atmosphere draws inspiration from Sepia Coffee’s story and values: a love of coffee in all its forms, respect for the people who grow it, and the owner’s personal connection to the craft. Warm materials and layered spaces invite people to gather, linger, and experience coffee as both everyday ritual and meaningful exchange.
